Socializing With Your Boss

Does your office socialize after hours? Are there activities (golf, cocktails, company softball team) that you engage in with co-workers outside of work? Here's a question: what is the etiquette, and what are the expectations with such activities? If your boss has a few drinks, should you have a few as well? What are the risks, what are the implications?
