Podcasts on Ethics at Work Updated-Listen Now!

At A2ethics.org, we are doing a series of podcasts on Working Ethics. This series doesn't really have many creative boundaries, except that: the people we are interviewing are more or less in their twenties and thirties; and are working in the Ann Arbor area, are townies originally or lived here and have moved away. We would like to talk to as broad a group as we can. We are interested in talking to people about their work, and most especially, about its ethical dimensions. The good stuff as well as the bad. Our first interview was with photojournalist Jack Bridges. Our a2ethics.org Web Director, Bart Bund, interviewed Jack about his photo essays of the now demolished Robert Taylor Homes, the last of the housing projects in Chicago. Jack went to elementary and high school in Ann Arbor. (Check out our podcast with Jack on this site and his work at: www.jackbridges.com The second interview featured Caroline Kerr, formerly the Associate Director of College Counseling at Ann Arbor Greenhills School, and recently hired as an administrator in the admissions office of Dartmouth College. Caroline told us about dealing the routine headaches of advising students and families on the basics of application ethics. She also impressed us with her passion for her work and its value in helping students find a college fit that helps to launch them into a new world and to discover their own passions. The third interview took us to local donut hole, the Washtenaw Dairy, to discuss the ethics of naming what is and what is not local food, with Hanna Raskin and Catharine Dann Roeber, co-owners of the nonprofit American Table Culinary Tours. You can discover what we found out from these fascinating people by listening to our podcasts--Now! We have many more interviews in various planning stages. If you are interested in talking about the ethics of your work, let us know. The only limit on the number of people we can talk to is when we run out of Ann Arbor area residents and former townies in their twenties and thirties!
