What is your favorite form of protest? And what cause would you go to jail fighting for?

Transparency is a phenomenon that we comfortably recall from our elementary school science classes. Why is that?  One reason could be that  it is easy to understand and to demonstrate: transparent objects are the ones we can see through. Another reason, however, could be that transparency has ethical properties too. If we have the ability to  see through something, then we believe we can get a more truthful and non-distorted image or understanding of it.

How can a citizen tell when a story heard on the news is part of the socialist agenda? Or any number of possible agendas: the monarchist, the kleptocratist, the theocratist or the just plain democratist? (Is that a word??) So, for example, what is the difference between a socialist agenda and a communist agenda?  A capitalist agenda  and a corporatist agenda? And under what circumstances would a given idea, issue, event or action become part of the socialist or any other agenda? 

In a report coming amidst our country's huge economic crisis, the Bush administration has announced plans to suspend NASA launches and space exploration for the years 2010-2015. In two years, NASA's fleet will be grounded and retired, leaving Russia to be the world's leading space explorer. With China entering into space traffic and private companies such as Virgin Galactic planning space tourism, it seems that a national shift of priorities is afoot.
