Business and Technology Ethics Symposium III

Join us for a discussion of gene editing and the ethical issues surrounding its consequences and expanding uses. Among the questions, we will be discussing:

1. What should we regard as treatment?  Are there ways to rely on ethical theories to determine when gene editing constitutes a treatment and when it is an enhancement? Are there circumstances when it is morally permissible to use these technologies and gene editing for enhancement?

2. Who should be setting the standards and the regulations for what is ethically acceptable?
