Please join us for the last discussion in the three-part series of A2Ethics online "Science and Civic Responsibilities" Symposia on Monday, March 24th from 7pm to 8pm EST.
Given the eroding bonds of trust between scientific communities and citizens over the past several years, our second discussion on March 10th concentrated on the moral responsibilities of scientists and scientific communities in a democracy. In our last session, we turn the tables. What are the moral responsibilities of citizens toward scientists? Significantly, are there new approaches and networks we can establish to restore trust and trustworthiness in the relationships between citizens and scientists?
This "We Hope It Will Not Be Our Last!" series is a collaboration between A2Ethics and the University of Cincinnati Center for Public Engagement with Science.
Our online and consequential discussion is designed and guided by Professor Eduardo J. Martinez of the University of Cincinnati and faculty affiliate at the Center, and organized by Gabe Kahn, A2Ethics' Virtual Symposia director.
To access and to explore several different ideas and perspectives on the topic before the event, AND to get the Zoom link for the March 24th session, please contact Gabe Kahn at: [email protected].
