A2Ethics.org Presents Sport Ethics Panel in October
We know that A2Ethics.org events are competing with your packed fall schedules. Even so, this event is about that other most important competition that often controls your schedule: your children's athletic participation.
On Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 7-9PM at the University of Michigan Golf Clubhouse, A2Ethics.org is very excited to present:
A panel of local experts, representing different sport traditions and decades of experience
to discuss and field questions from you on:
Competitive Youth Athletics Today--A Fast Track to What?
Please join our panel of experts, including:
Tom George, Ph.D.--Sport Psychology, Assistant Professor, University of Michigan
Jane Nixon--Special Education Teacher, Pioneer HIgh School; Head Coach, Pioneer Field Hockey
Jim Richardson--Head Coach, Women's Swimming, University of Michigan
Brian Townsend--Director of Operations, Men's Basketball, University of Michigan
Why Come? This event offers the opportunity for you to learn about and discuss with our youth sport panel the best and worst practices of fast tracking our children in athletics.
Other Reasons to Come? This event is a fall-fund-raiser for A2Ethics.org. So we ask that you contribute $10.00 to attend. All donations, even those greater than $10.00, will be accepted at the door.
Where? The University of Michigan Golf Course Clubhouse on 500 East Stadium Blvd. in Ann Arbor, across from the Crisler Arena. There is ample parking.
Who Should Come? Parents, coaches, educators...but really everyone should come!
We look forward to seeing you there: October 22 from 7-9PM at the U-M Golf Clubhouse on 500 E. Stadium. Bring your questions!
Any questions before the event, please contact us at [email protected].
