This Saturday, April 22nd, is Earth Day. It is also a day when many will participate in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti rallies connected to the nationwide March for Science. A2Ethics members will join them. The March has many important goals, including strong support for government-funded scientific research, and a commitment to scientific education for all. The March is also a chance for ethicists to ask questions. How can we effectively expose the discrediting of scientific consensus and the distortion of scientific information to the public? Indeed, it is a perfect time to talk about the ethical role of science and scientists. For this reason, I invite you to think about your own science story and its impact on your everyday life.
